Here’s a fact— Don Lewis went missing August 18, 1997, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since (that we know of). That’s a long time to go without making waves for a man who loved to do just that.
Seriously.
At this point I’m ready to start painting the picture of who Don Lewis was, because that story needs to be fleshed out as well. Just from what digging I’ve done, this guy appears to be all sex, cats, planes, and money. What a combo.
He sounds like what half of the men in Los Angeles wish they were.
I really want to dig further on who Don was, specifically during his time in Costa Rica. Now that’s a story I may need to run by lawyers first. In regard to what Don was doing, I question what got lost somewhere between morality and legality in a country that was not as big of a tourist destination twenty years ago as it is now.
Yesterday I spoke with someone we’re going to name Justin who has extensive knowledge on the subject of Don’s disappearance.
“You’re chasing a red herring,” he said in reference to the DHS letter (see my first post).
Justin believes that there is no way Don ever left Florida, and the second season of the series suggests that as well despite sharing the DHS letter on an episode.
With that in mind, at this point I’m chasing down the players involved who are located in Costa Rica to understand who this guy was when he wasn’t around his wife or the US government.
Money goes a long way, and Don had a lot of it.
Justin may say that I’m chasing a red herring, but I think that there’s a story here of who Don was when the law wasn’t looking.
I’m looking now, and I have names.
